Jay Shay Art Studio & Gallery is a small studio and gallery space owned and operated by local artist Jessica Shea. The gallery is dedicated to showing a variety of work from local artists and craftsmen, from painting, ceramics, jewelry, handmade books, photography, textiles, gifts and more.

Here you will find amazing work from talented artists of the North Shore, Boston, and surrounding New England Areas.

Robin Luciano Beaty
Beaty is an award winning painter out of Newbury, MA. She concentrates primarily on the ancient wax based medium of encaustic paint, a molten beeswax mixed with resin and dry pigments, which she incorporates mixed media, vintage materials, textiles and found objects.

John Bomback
A resident of Georgetown, photographer and bookmaker John Bomback creates beautifully unique handmade books that are ideal for many purposes such as photo albums, sketch books, journals, scrapbooks, or watercolorings. Many are created with his own photography displayed in a recessed window on the cover.

David Bookbinder
Bookbinder is a psychotherapist, writer, and photographer working out of Danvers, MA. As a photographer, he is largely self-taught. His motivation in creating the mandala images on display was to heal from a decade of physical and emotional trauma.

Sue Bodenrader
Georgetown born mural artist, Sue now lives and works in Haverhill, MA. She has appeared in galleries in Newburyport and Boston, and has been decorated with multiple show awards.

Ruth Curtis
Photographer Ruth Curtis works out of Danvers, MA, and is member of the Danvers Art Association. Drawing inspiration from the outdoors, she has won many awards for her photographs. Curtis also has greeting cards on sale in the gallery.

Kori Michele Handwerker
Resident of Portland, ME, Kori Michele's body of work examines the themes of portraiture, identity, comics, and gender through drawings, paintings, and animations.

Kathy Hardwick
Photographer Kathy Hardwick works out of Danvers, MA and is a member of the Danvers Art Association. Along with her photographs, she also designs and produces greating cards with her photos; for sale in the gallery.


Karen Jones
Newburyport, MA artist, Karen Jones' work consists of both pastels and acrylic. "I attempt to create serene, contemplative landscapes where one can be alone in a natural, beautiful setting."

Stephen Madden
Merrimac resident and painter, Stephen Madden, was born in Northern Ireland and has lived and worked in New York City for the past 5 years. Winner of several awards, his oil paintings depict the scenic landscape of Ireland.


Charles Margeson
Margeson is a local Georgetown, MA artist and resident, working out of his own gallery: Black Swan Gallery. Through his land and seascapes, he tries to capture "the moment when one is content and at peace".

Jeff Mentuck
Glassblower, Jeff Mentuck, began blowing glass in 1990. In 2000 he opened his own studio, Marblehead Glassworks. He currently works and teaches at Salem State College. His design sense constantly strives to balance elements of form, color and composition in a way that remains both contemporary and classic.

Maureen Petrie
Petrie always had a passion for art, but it wasn't until later in life that it captured her soul- and so her journey began with oils being her medium of shoice. Her style can best be described as deliverate, emplying traditional techniques with mixes of impressionism.


Connie Rossetti
Rossetti is an award winning ceramic artist, working with borth geometric and earthy/organic shapes often combining both into one unique expression. She is more recently known for her mermaids and healing rattles, as well as her larger more expressive Sculpture and Fine Art pieces.


Mike Ryan
Georgetown native, Mike Ryan, has been painting since the age of 5. He spent 10 years serving in the United States Army, and has been happily married for 31 years, with 2 children & 3 grandchildren. His painting depict the beautiful landscapes of New England.


Jessica Shea
As well as running Jay Shay Gallery, Shea's works are also on display. The pieces focus on portraiture and the exploration of design and execution- using mixed media such as pencil, pen & ink, watercolor & digital.


Diane Simmers
Simmers designs and creates distinctive & unique hand crafted Sterling Silver & Gemstone jewelry. She prides herself in the fact that no two pieces she creates are the same- giving them all the title "one of a kind". She lives & works out of Salem, NH.


Michael Souter
Wood turner, Michael Souter, produces his works out of Ipswich, MA. Turning since 2003, Souter produces difficult, attractive, and artistic turnings.

Robyn Steinberger
A native of Winthrop, Steinberger has been a resident of Peabody for 20 years. Painting has been a life-long passion of hers. She has been working in watercolor, painting seascapes and landscapes of the New England coast, her work capturing the peacefulness and serenity of the scenes.


Caren Travis
Jeweler Caren Travis is a native of Beverly, MA. Working out of her studio in Danvers, MA, Travis does jewelry repair as well as fabricates classic designs with her own added touch.
